I began playing guitar at 13 years old and soon began performing at school and church events, both solo and with other musicians. After dropping out of a Masters in Education program, I realized my true passion was for teaching guitar, so I opened a music school in my hometown of Maryville, TN.

Since 2009, I've taught hundreds of people just like you to become better guitar players, performers, band members, songwriters, and recording artists. I've played guitar, bass, drums, and sung with my students for countless live events over the years, as well as helped several beginning bands get their music careers started by helping them book their own gigs and play their own shows. With my production skills and songwriting training, I've also released two albums of my students' compositions – for many of them, their first time recording and releasing their own original music.
